A thousand eyes
A shot from the Nature History Museum butterfly exhibit…

I finally got around to scanning my negatives from my zone class from last session, well more like Chris did the scanning… Thanks Chris!

Bisbee, AZ. I don’t know why I had the need to take this.

Tuscarora, NV. There were so many abandoned cars and trucks. I wondered about their lives before they passed.

Tuscarora, NV. This one looked so sad… it’s one of my favorite.

Tuscarora, NV. I had no idea what these things were when I first saw them. Later I found out they were old washing machines.

Elko, NV. It was a goner…

Tuscarora, NV. This one had an owner, we had to trespass just a little bit.
So after the graduation what better way to celebrate than with tacos and beer! We even had the taco dudes make an appearance.

Tio Albert posing with his Tecate in hand.

The taco dudes!!! They are becoming regulars at our family gatherings.
My younger cousin graduated from Bellarmine last week and you can bet the whole family showed up!

Miss Julissa Jae

Chalo and Mateo were there to support Marcos.

Nino Jessie and Tio Albert.

My Tio Albert was also taking pictures but he took pictures of the wrong kid. Haha… I got the right kid.

The Hinojosa dudes. Tio Jaime, Marcos, and Adrian

Congrats to Marcos and good luck at Santa Clara University!
Last week I went to the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose. I have lived in San Jose for most of my life and have never once been to these gardens. The whole time I was there the only thing I could say was “Where are we?” It didn’t feel like I was in San Jose.

I can stare at these trees for days and I did.

I always have intense running socks on… It weirds out most people.

EO… Everything was funny to him.

It was a good day.
Last week I did a maternity shoot with Marg, such a fun session. Here are a few…

Thanks Marg for being such a great model. Can’t wait to meet him!
My friend since 6th grade was graduating from SJSU in English and I couldn’t be any prouder. I was not going to miss it for the world and so I took a trip north to San Jose. Here are some shots…

Keith, Staci’s hubby, he wants to kill me most days and the feelings are mutual..ha!

She was pretty excited!

Proud Momma

Oh and she also got a cool medal for being extra smart.

She thanked her parents for giving her a decent brain and then she proceeded to make me cry with the rest of her speech. I’m such a sucker!

And of course her dad was there to make fun of both of us because her and I are wusses.
Love you Staci.
Some more nature shots. They were shot at Elwood and the Bluffs…

She loves coming on the hikes, however…

she is like velcro and always comes back covered in these foxtails and guess who has to pick them all out?!

I am taking the nature class this session and it’s a pretty awesome class. For homework I get to go on hikes and take pictures of flowers and bugs and I get to mess around with all sorts of different lenses. I know, I know, life is rough and to top it off the class field trip is camping in the Sequoia National Park for a week… it going to be a rough session. Our first assignment was to shoot macro. Here are some…

This little guy was not a happy camper.

This thing is my worst nightmare… Really! I have nightmares about these creepy things a lot.
I wanted to take her home! Look at that heart-shaped face.

The car hasn’t been washed in a bit…
We stop in Metropolis, NV which is a ghost town outside of Elko, NV. It used to be a pretty well populated town but now the only things left are pieces of an old school building. The weather was not on our side that day. It started off a beautiful day and then 30 minutes later hail the size of golf balls, awesome…

The remains of the school building and the weather being nice to us.

Inside the building

The storm was a coming…

Chris trying to beat the storm. Storm won…

But there’s nothing better than rain clouds.
